Together, they form a 60-year sexagenary cycle, used in traditional calendars and various aspects of Chinese culture

What is WuXing Energy

Wuxing, often translated as the Five Elements, is a fundamental concept in traditional Chinese philosophy and medicine. It describes five interconnected elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. They interact with each other in a dynamic system of generation and restriction. This interaction can be understood through two main cycles:

  • Creative (生) Cycle:
    Wood nourishes Fire, Fire creates Earth (ash), Earth bears Metal, Metal collects Water, and Water nourishes Wood
  • Destructive (克) Cycle:
    Wood penetrates Earth, Earth absorbs Water, Water extinguishes Fire, Fire melts Metal, and Metal chops Wood
